Vtiger Alternative: One Price Instead of Five Editions
Vtiger One is cheaper per seat on every paid edition and has a free edition that stays free. EmpireVault puts e-signature, AI, documents and SMS on one $39 seat that Vtiger spreads across editions and add-ons. Here is the five-person team priced both ways, with Vtiger’s own pages as the source.
No credit card required · One seat in the trial
The Short Answer
Pick Vtiger if price per seat is the deciding factor. One Pilot is free forever for up to 10 users and 3,000 records, with cases, SLA, campaigns and appointment pages in it. One Growth is $12 per user per month billed annually ($15 month to month), and Single App User seats on One Professional cost $20 for people who only need one app. A five-person team that fits One Growth pays $60 a month to EmpireVault’s $195.
Pick EmpireVault if you want every module on one price with nothing one edition up. E-signature and SMS campaigns start on Vtiger’s One Professional ($30, or $42 month to month); the Calculus AI assistant is a $12-per-user add-on until the One AI edition at $50. On EmpireVault, built-in e-signature, AI in every module, an email client, a calendar and an office suite are on the same $39 seat, billed monthly or annually. If you only need a CRM with cases, Vtiger is the better deal and we would rather say so here.
Which Plan Covers a Five-Person Team
Thirteen things a five-person business needs: an owner, two salespeople and two support agents who need SLAs and a knowledge base, and email marketing to 1,000 contacts, the same team the pricing page prices against HubSpot. Each Vtiger cell names the first edition that includes the item and its price per user per month billed annually; month-to-month prices are in the pricing block below.
No ticks and crosses: you cannot check a tick. Yes is included on the plan named in the cell. Partial is included with the limitation written out. No is not offered.

Vtiger facts from vtiger.com/pricing and vtiger.com/compare-editions, read 23 October 2026. Month-to-month figures are the ones Vtiger’s pricing toggle stores for its Monthly view. Two cells carry a caveat: Vtiger’s compare page ticks “Knowledge Base” on One Pilot but not on One Growth while listing “Articles & FAQs” under Growth, so we have used Growth; and e-signature is read from the compare matrix and Vtiger’s help centre, which routes it through a DocuSign or Zoho Sign integration.

The team is the one the pricing page already uses: an owner, two salespeople and two support agents, with SLAs and a knowledge base for support and email marketing to 1,000 contacts. EmpireVault is billed monthly and can be cancelled at any time; Vtiger’s lowest figures are its annual-commitment prices, and both are shown.
| Line | EmpireVault | Vtiger |
|---|---|---|
| What you buy | 1 plan, every module, for all 5 people | One Growth for all five: CRM, cases with 3 SLA policies, Articles & FAQs with a customer portal, 5,000 emails a month. One Professional once you need e-signature, SMS campaigns, round-robin cases or unlimited booking pages. |
| Monthly cost | $195 for all 5 people (5 × $39) monthly, cancel any time, or $162.50 a month billed annually (5 × $32.50) | $60 on One Growth billed annually (5 × $12), $75 month to month. $150 on One Professional billed annually (5 × $30), $210 month to month. |
| AI assistant | Included (100 email AI requests per person a day; 40,000 a day for the rest) | Calculus AI add-on at $12 per user per month, so +$60 for five, or the One AI edition at $50 per user ($250 for five). |
| E-signature | Included, built in | One Professional and above, through a DocuSign or Zoho Sign integration. |
| One-time onboarding | $0 self-serve | None stated on the pricing or compare pages. |
| Email marketing | No contact cap or per-contact charge; campaigns send through your own mailbox, so your provider’s daily limit applies | 1,000 emails a month on Pilot; 5,000 a month or 500 per user on Growth; 20,000 or 2,000 per user on Professional. |
| Tiers to choose between | None | Pilot, Growth, Professional, Enterprise and One AI, plus Single App User seats and per-user add-ons. |
On this team Vtiger is cheaper, by a wide margin on One Growth and still cheaper on One Professional billed annually ($150 against EmpireVault’s $162.50 annual or $195 monthly); only month to month with the AI add-on does Vtiger cost more ($270 against $195). The comparison turns on whether the things EmpireVault includes, e-signature, AI, an email client, a calendar and an office suite, are things you would otherwise buy.
Where Vtiger Wins
Not hedged, and not a set-up for a rebuttal. These are the reasons a team should buy Vtiger instead of EmpireVault.
A Free Edition That Stays Free
One Pilot is free forever: CRM with deals, quotes and invoices, cases with one SLA policy and business hours, 1,000 emails a month, appointment pages, phone integration, for up to 10 users and 3,000 records. EmpireVault gives you 21 days with everything on one seat and then asks for $39 a seat. A small team that fits inside Pilot’s limits pays Vtiger nothing.
The Cheapest Full-Suite Paid Seat
One Growth is $12 per user per month billed annually ($15 month to month) for CRM, cases with 3 SLA policies, articles and FAQs, a customer portal and 5,000 emails a month. Single App User seats on One Professional are $20 billed annually for someone who only needs Sales, Marketing, Help Desk, Projects or Inventory with view-only access to the rest. EmpireVault has one seat type at one price.
Bundled Sending, SMS Campaigns and WhatsApp
Email credits scale with the edition: 5,000 a month or 500 per user on Growth, 20,000 or 2,000 per user on Professional, 25,000 or 2,500 per user on Enterprise and One AI, sent by Vtiger rather than through your own mailbox. SMS campaigns and WhatsApp channels (via Twilio or ClickATell) are on Professional and above. EmpireVault’s campaigns go through your own mailbox and it has no WhatsApp channel.
Platform Depth
Workflows (5 on Pilot up to 100), multipath workflows, inventory and invoicing, service contracts, round-robin case assignment, a customer portal sized per edition. Vtiger has been building a CRM platform for a long time and the compare-editions page runs to hundreds of rows. EmpireVault’s automations and invoicing are narrower: invoices come from signed contracts and there is no inventory.
Where EmpireVault Wins
Four things, and none of them is a cheaper seat. EmpireVault’s case against Vtiger is what one seat covers without an upgrade or an add-on.
Nothing Is One Edition Up
On Vtiger, e-signature, SMS campaigns, round-robin cases and unlimited booking pages wait for One Professional, and the AI assistant is a $12 add-on until One AI. On EmpireVault every module is on the $39 seat, so the feature you turn out to need is already there. For the five-person team that means $195 a month with AI, e-signature and the rest included, against $210 month to month on Professional plus $60 for Calculus AI.
E-Signature Built In
Contracts are signed inside EmpireVault with an audit trail; an accepted quote becomes a contract for signature in the same thread. Vtiger’s compare page ticks e-signature from One Professional and its help centre routes it through a DocuSign or Zoho Sign integration, which is a second product to set up and, depending on the plan, pay for.
The Working Day Is in the Product
An email client where every message already sits on the customer record, with AI drafts in your voice and summaries; a calendar that sends and receives real invitations with RSVPs; Euro-Office documents, spreadsheets and slides edited together in the browser; tasks and projects. Vtiger’s pages describe document storage and sharing, not an editor, a mailbox or a calendar client.
Monthly at the Same Price
EmpireVault’s $39 is the monthly price, and annual billing takes it to $32.50 with two months free; nothing is held back for an annual tier. Vtiger’s headline prices are billed annually, and month to month is $15, $42, $58 and $66 against $12, $30, $42 and $50. If you want to pay monthly and keep the option to stop, EmpireVault’s monthly price is the price.
What Else Comes With the Seat
Vtiger is a CRM platform with a help desk, marketing and projects attached; it does not try to be your mailbox, your calendar client or your office suite. EmpireVault does, and that is most of what the price difference buys. Everything on the one $39 seat, sharing one customer record:
So the comparison worth running is Vtiger One Growth or Professional plus an e-signature service plus an office suite plus whatever handles your mail and calendar, against one seat. If you are not buying those things anyway, Vtiger is cheaper, and this page is not going to argue otherwise.
Pricing, Side by Side
EmpireVault
$39 per seat / month
One plan. Every module included, no feature tiers. $39 per seat billed monthly, or $32.50 a month billed annually ($390 a year, two months free). A 21-day free trial with one seat and no credit card, but no permanent free plan.
Vtiger
$0–$50 per user / month, billed annually
One Pilot free forever (10 users, 3,000 records). One Growth $12, One Professional $30, One Enterprise $42, One AI $50 per user per month billed annually; $15, $42, $58 and $66 month to month. Calculus AI $12 and CPQ $8 per user per month as add-ons. Local taxes extra.
Per seat, EmpireVault’s $32.50 annual price is nearly three times One Growth and $2.50 more than One Professional; month to month, One Professional with the AI add-on ($54) is $15 more than EmpireVault’s $39. On a pure CRM-with-cases requirement Vtiger is simply cheaper. The maths only turns if you would otherwise be buying e-signature, an office suite and an email client separately, or if you want to pay monthly.
Common Questions
Is EmpireVault a good Vtiger alternative?
It depends on what you need beyond the CRM. If you want a CRM with cases, campaigns and appointment pages at the lowest price per seat, Vtiger One Growth at $12 per user per month billed annually, or the free One Pilot edition, is the better buy. EmpireVault is the better choice when you also want e-signature, AI, an email client, a calendar and an office suite without moving up an edition or adding add-ons, on one $39 seat, billed monthly or annually.

On EmpireVault, $195 a month for all five with everything included, or $162.50 a month billed annually. On Vtiger, $60 a month on One Growth billed annually ($75 month to month), or $150 on One Professional billed annually ($210 month to month) once e-signature or SMS campaigns are needed, plus $60 for Calculus AI across five users if you want the AI assistant.
